Commendation Ceremony, 2018
APSLSA organised commendation ceremony for the best PLV, Panel Lawyer and DLSA of Arunachal Pradesh at Itanagar as a part of the NALSA directives on 10.11.2018. The programme was attended among others by Shri Onit Panyang,Secretary Cooperation,IAS, Govt of Arunachal Pradesh,Shri Budi Habung,Member Secretary,State Authority,Shri Dani Belo,Dy Secretary Law and Judicial,Smt J.Chai,Shri Ito Basar District & Session Judge,Shri Y.Ado,Addl District & Session Judges,Shri Tage Halley,Shri H.Kashyap,Shri Tadu Tamang,Shri T.Padoh and Shri K.Tasso,Chief Judicial Magistrate and Ms M.Kamsi and Shri T.Laji,JMFC ,who are the Chairman and Secretaries of various District Legal services authorities, Panel Lawyers,Para Legal Volunteers and Legal Aid Counsel from across the districts.
The Chief Guest, Shri Onit Panyang,IAS distributed the prizes to the winners of the various categories for the period 2018 such as the – Best Para Legal Volunteers of the state which was conferred upon to Ms Phurpa Lhamu of DLSA Tawang; the Best Panel Lawyer to Mr Gulley Sumnyan of DLSA Tirap,while the Best District Legal Services award was given to Tawang DLSA headed by Shri Damge Niri, Secretary DLSA Tawang and JMFC. It may be recalled that the winners shall be representing the state in the national meet to be shortly held at New Delhi and shall be eligible for overall selection among the other state nominees, as was the case in 2016,when the Papum Pare DLSA won the Best DLSA among the north eastern states.
Shri O.Panyang, in his speech while appreciating the works of the legal services authorities called upon them to be diligently and dutifully undertake the responsibility entrusted upon them and being the first pioneers of the legal services authorities and to further to set high standards and to have good coordination with the district authorities. Shri Budi Habung, in his speech highlighted the activities of the legal services by small video presentation. He also called them to strengthen the activities. Later on a short interaction was held among the participants. During the programme short videos and films on NALSA themes were shown.
